The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra is Cleveland’s professional repertory jazz big band. Established in 1984, the band performs classic jazz as well as contemporary music of the big band genre. Over the years in their subscription concert series they have featured guest artists such as Louie Bellson, Sarah Vaughn, Tony Bennett, Benny Carter, Jiggs Whigham, Terry Gibbs, Clark Terry, Claire Fischer, Billy Byers, Arturo Sandoval, Sammy Nestico, Bill Holman, Bob Brookmeyer and many other established names in jazz. Barbara Knight has been CJO’s female vocalist since 1993.
